Kiddicare has achieved a 98.75% successful delivery rate since introducing a one-hour delivery slot service last month.

The multichannel nursery retailer went live with the service on February 1 and served more than 36,000 customers that way in its first month.

Kiddicare has worked with delivery firm Interlink on the service, and is not charging extra for the one-hour time slot delivery.

Once customers place an order on the Kiddicare.com site, they are either sent an email or text message giving them a one-hour slot in which they can expect their purchases to arrive. If the slot is not convenient, they can text or email back to rearrange delivery for a different time or date.

Kiddicare partner Scott Weavers-Wright said the service has been implemented to ensure that great customer service goes beyond the point of sale.

He said: “We are confident that this is what our customers have been waiting for, and we hope that the availability of a delivery service that operates at the customer’s convenience will make shoppers continue to want to buy from us in the future.”

He added that sales in January were up 30% year on year, and in February they rose 47%.

Kiddicare extended its January Sale into the first two weeks of February following the snow.
