Old Bond Street to host James Bond watches
Watch and jewellery brand Omega is to make its high street debut by Christmas, with a view to further UK expansion.

The luxury brand, worn by actor Pierce Brosnan, will open its doors on Old Bond Street before Christmas.

Before then, the luxury brand, which is part of the Swatch group, will open its first UK retail store at Heathrow's terminal one on November 14.

That will be followed at the end of the month by a store at London's Royal Exchange. Omega will sit alongside other upmarket tenants at the scheme, including Gucci and Tiffany & Co.

James Bond's preferred watchmaker has UK stockists but no standalone stores. An Omega spokeswomen said the series of openings is reflective of the brand's UK expansion hopes. 'Bond Street is especially exciting - the boutique will hold all collections,' she said.

Retail UK Airports managing director Colin Hargrave said the 645 sq ft (60 sq m) Heathrow outlet 'demonstrates our ongoing commitment to introduce further innovation and new brands'.
