O2 Ireland has won an award for its digital in-store signage that gives the mobile phone retailer greater control over customers’ in-store experience.
The retailer won a POPAI (Point of Purchase Advertising International) Silver Award last week for the video and music network installed by Mood Media Corporation last year in 74 stores in Ireland.
The digital signage replaces A1-size posters in O2 stores and can be controlled to suit the time of the day.
Staff at the O2 head office in Ireland can control the frequency at which promotions are played in individual stores, where they can be increased when the stores are busiest. In addition to this, more upbeat music is selected during such times, like lunch time, weekends and evenings.
All new stores that open or are refurbished in Ireland will have the digital signage installed.
