Outdoor retailer North Face opened a store in Bristol’s Cabot Circus last week, raising its UK shop tally to six.

The Bristol shop is the first of 15 openings planned for the next three to five years, according to North Face general manager for Europe Patrik Frisk.

Frisk said London would remain a focus for North Face, where there is the potential for at least a further three shops to add to its Westfield and Covent Garden branches.

He added that he was waiting for prime space to become available. “We’ve seen some secondary space coming onto the market, but I don’t think we’ve seen the real availability of prime retail space yet. I think that will happen in the next quarter.”
