The £170m extension to Newcastle’s Eldon Square shopping centre opened this week.

Anchored by Debenhams, tenants also include Apple, New Look, River Island and a raft of Arcadia brands.

The extension, developed by the centre’s owner Capital Shopping Centres, adds 400,000 sq ft of new space, taking the centre’s total size to 1.3m sq ft.
