12 shows start in September
Ideal Shopping Direct has signed a deal with N Brown to produce a series of TV programmes showcasing the mail order retailer's fashion, lingerie and shoe ranges.

The pilot run of 12 shows is due to begin in September.

Products that appear on the shows will also feature on the Ideal World web site.

Orders placed will be handled through Ideal's call centres and web sites, but fulfilled by N Brown.

N Brown unsuccessfully launched its own television channel in 2004 after first testing a series of shows with Ideal. The results of this latest venture will be reviewed at the end of the year.

Shore Capital equity analyst Andy Blain said: 'Following a similar trial with Next, we believe these tie-ins will help raise the profile of the Ideal World channel and continue to underpin growth. We would also suggest that the interest being shown by major retailers highlights the growing importance of alternative retail sales away from the high street.'
