MyDeco chief executive Nicole Vanderbilt is to step down and will be replaced by the interiors etailer’s ecommerce director.

Vanderbilt, who will leave the online retailer in April, resigns just three months after she relaunched the firm as a direct ecommerce store.

Peter Bakker will take up the position of chief executive in April, with lastminute.com co-founder and MyDeco backer Brent Hoberman taking a more direct role in the company’s running, New Media Age reports.

It is unclear if Vanderbilt has a job to go to but a spokeswoman reportedly said it was a natural decision given the change in direction of the business.

MyDeco relaunched as a direct ecommerce store in November aiming to complement its original affiliate model. It had previously sold products from third-party retailers incorporating 3D room-planning technology.
