Fashion guru George Davies is gearing up for a multichannel launch for his new retail venture GIVe.

GIVe – targeting women over 30 – will go live with a transactional website on October 1, the same day it opens its first store on London’s Regent Street, understood to be the shop presently occupied by Samsonite. At present it is working on the systems, call centre and ecommerce site that will support the eight-store and 16-concessions chain.

GIVe will carry in-store information kiosks for customers to search the website, scan a barcode and find  the stock position of that item. Scanning a barcode also allows customers to view catwalk videos featuring that product. Shoppers will be able to preview next season and mid-season launches before they arrive in stores. An alteration and tailor-made service will also be offered both in-store and online.

GIVe has selected an integrated multichannel system from K3 that will manage all sales channels and inventory. This system will integrate with a warehouse management system from Red Prairie.

GIVe head of ecommerce, systems and logistics Nigel Roberts said the retailer wanted to have stores and an online channel that offered customers “a fantastic experience at whatever point they connect with us”.

He said the retailer will also try to track customers as they shop across different channels.

GIVe, which is pitching itself as “affordable luxury” will also open shops in Bluewater, Liverpool One and Meadowhall.
