Luxury gifts retailer hopes sun will shine on Asian foray
Mulberry has announced a move into north and Southeast Asia, with new stores planned in Hong Kong and Singapore.

The Hong Kong shop will open this month, followed by the Singapore outlet in December. The retailer also said it had entered into an agreement with Club 21 to distribute Mulberry goods in the two markets exclusively. Club 21 is owned by Challice, the majority shareholder in Mulberry.

The retailer has 14 stores in the UK and mainland Europe and sell through other retailers in Europe, US and Japan, stocking its own high-end womenswear, menswear and accessories. The latter makes up 70 per cent of sales.
