2,000 price cuts in two weeks
Morrisons has joined the supermarket price war, unveiling 2,000 price cuts over the next two weeks.

The reductions are in addition to 3,000 price cuts introduced since January and on top of more than 4,000 promotional cuts and£350 million worth of multi-save savings.

Morrisons group trading director Martyn Jones said: 'These 2,000 lower prices confirm our commitment to giving Morrisons customers consistently great value.'

A price war was sparked last week when Tesco chief executive Sir Terry Leahy announced£270 million of price cuts and Wal-Mart-owned Asda unveiled£250 million worth of rollbacks.
