New MD to spearhead roll-out of convenience brand
Thresher Group has appointed Trevor Moore as managing director of its 130-store food and drink convenience chain The Local. He replaces interim managing director David Kassler, who will return to Thresher parent Terra Firma Group.

Moore was most recently Phones 4U customer excellence director. He has also worked for Coffee Republic, Whitbread and HSBC. His main role will be to oversee the roll out of The Local store format to 500 stores by the end of this year. Thresher hopes to convert 120 stores to The Local fascia this month.

Thresher chief executive Roger Whiteside said: 'The Local is a major initiative for us and a key part of our business transformation programme. Trevor's experience will make him a valuable member of the team as we continue the roll-out of our convenience format.'
