Molton Brown creates marketing director role to drive brand forward

Expanding toiletries and beauty retailer Molton Brown, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, has created the new position of marketing director to drive the brand both in the UK and overseas.

Alison Jordan, formerly commercial marketing director at Warner Bros, has joined the company in the new position. Charles Denton, joint managing director and former sales and marketing director at Molton Brown, said the appointment further strengthened his team after the appointment of Rob Thurlow as director of retail operations last year.

Molton Brown will have 20 standalone stores by Christmas with eight new openings in the pipeline this year, as well as 30 concessions.

Abroad, Molton Brown will launch its first French concession in Printemps, Paris in September, and is close to finalising a site in New York.
