Shopping centres woo the judges
Sheffield's Meadowhall shopping centre has won a top property prize for its Funky Feet campaign.

The mall won the Purple Apple award from shopping centre body the BCSC for a marketing promotion that 'represented a whole new level in marketing tactics for the retail industry'.

It was one of three awards won by Meadowhall out of 25 handed out at a gala presentation. Competition entries came from more than 80 centres in the UK.

'Marketing, media and public relations play vital roles in delivering awareness and custom for retail destinations,' said BCSC president John Strachan. 'These Purple Apple award winners recognise campaigns and projects that are frontline factors in driving footfall and custom.'
