Under the direction of former food boss Stuart Machin and former chief strategy and transformation officer Katie Bickerstaffe as CEO and co-CEO from mid-2022, the transformation that eluded previous Marks & Spencer (M&S) management teams is now fully underway, with both the Food and Clothing & Home divisions moving forward with purpose and conviction towards an omnichannel future. It was announced Bickerstaffe would exit her role as co-chief executive in February 2024, leaving in July.
