Marks & Spencer is offering international delivery for online shoppers as it bids to increase sales at its direct business to £500 million by 2011.

UK customers can now send Marks & Spencer clothes, lingerie and some beauty and accessories goods to addresses in France, Germany, Spain, the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Marks & Spencer director of international, home and direct Carl Leaver said: “Our decision to deliver internationally provides a significant opportunity, not only to grow sales of our e-commerce business but to extend our brand globally.

“We have deliberately selected markets where we currently don’t have stores but where we know, through extensive feedback, that there is demand for our goods.”

Deliveries to European countries will cost£10, and£20 to North American and the Antipodes.
