TikTok Shop UK will soon be selling Christmas turkeys on the platform in time for the festive season.
Newcastle-based seller “The Fat Butcher” which operates as an online butcher and meat delivery service, will start selling Christmas turkeys on the commerce platform.
From October 1, shoppers on TikTok Shop UK will be able to purchase turkeys ahead of Christmas.
The Fat Butcher has become a top seller in the fresh foods category since onboarding three weeks ago. It has seen a 600% increase in orders week on week.
Food and beverage purchases on TikTok Shop also increased by 55% in the build up to Christmas, and customers can now pre-order fresh or frozen turkeys for the first time on the platform.
Turkeys can also be bought as part of a Christmas box which also includes beef, pigs in blankets, stuffing, and gammon.
A 24-hour live shopping event will be hosted by The Fat Butcher to promote the Christmas boxes on the day of the launch.

The Fat Butcher founder Darren Fenton added: “Christmas brings a huge amount of joy to our customers, but we know how challenging it can be to get all your Christmas dinner shopping done in time – with huge queues at the butchers and meat selling out ahead of time.
