Amazon’s UK sales soar as it doubles down on bricks-and-mortar offerings

Amazon’s UK sales grew by more than 20% last year on top of a 51% rise in 2020.

The retail giant registered that sales were up 20.5% to $31.91bn (£23.22bn) in 2021, up from £19.6bn the previous year, according to filings made today at the US Securities and Exchange Commission.

Amazon’s group sales grew 22% to $469.8bn (£341.75bn), while its pre-tax profit margin jumped to 8.1%.
