Fashion retailer Matalan has launched a new Christmas TV advert featuring a family at Christmas.
The ad, which aired on Saturday during X Factor, depicts a family on Christmas day opening presents around the Christmas tree, struggling to light the Christmas pudding and carrying the kids to bed.
Matalan marketing director Lee Pinnington said: “The advert echoes our commitment at Matalan to being a family retailer that strives to deliver great quality, design and value for all of our customers.”
Devised by BBH London, the ad, which will air for four weeks during high profile programmes, features music from the Christmas carol Little Donkey. The advert is narrated by actress Samantha Morton.
Matalan has also filmed a behind-the-scenes video to show the making of the ads. This will be available to watch on ITV, Closer and Matalan’s websites from tomorrow with a 60-second teaser on ITV.
