Marks & Spencer has added Estée Lauder fragrances to its third-party beauty offering as it expands the category to attract new customers, according to The Times.

The move comes after the retailer’s successful partnership with the Estée Lauder-owned skincare and makeup brand Clinique, launched earlier last year.

M&S customers can buy more than more than 30 fragrances from Estée Lauder, including the Beautiful, Bronze Goddess and Pleasures collections for women and Aramis for men, from next month.

The retailer said external brands now represent more than 40% of total sales in the category as it looks to attract a younger audience with new brands such as Neal’s Yard Remedies and This Works.

Heidi Woodhouse, director of home, furniture and beauty at M&S, said the retailer was “committed to becoming the trusted editor in beauty for our customers”.

“We’re continuing to innovate with our leading own brands and introducing third-party partners who complement and complete our offer,” she added.

This news follows M&S’ return to the FTSE 100 index after four years as its share price surged and its turnaround strategy paid off.

The retailer has seen a 75% increase in its share price this year and has upgraded its annual profit outlook, driven by strong sales in both its food and clothing divisions.
