One of the best-known names in retail human resources, Tanith Dodge, has been appointed to head HR at Marks & Spencer.

The former group HR and communications director at WHSmith will take up her role at M&S next week. She replaces Keith Cameron, who will retire.

M&S chief executive Sir Stuart Rose said: “I am delighted to welcome Tanith to Marks & Spencer and would like to thank Keith for his contribution to the business and to wish him well in his retirement.”

Dodge will be a member of the executive committee and report to Ian Dyson.
