What was your first job in retailing?

I worked at Sephora.com/LVMH - one of the first premium beauty ecommerce businesses launched in the US - as the vice-president of global business development and marketing.

Which retail company do you admire most and why?

Amazon, as it has set the bar early on for what can be achieved in ecommerce including customer service and cross-selling.

Who have you learnt most from in your retail career?

LVMH. It demands perfectionism, especially in how a brand and the product is presented to the consumer in an enticing way.

What is the trait you least like in yourself and why?

Perfectionism. Always expecting the best in myself and others can be exhausting.

What advice would you give someone starting out in retail?

Choose the sector that ignites your passion.

What keeps you awake at night?

Pushing the envelope on performance and innovation. Discovering what our Cocosa members want, what works and what doesn’t for Sales events, and business results.

What’s the most satisfying part of your job?

Working with the Cocosa team and our brand partners to change the way people shop and creating the most exciting online shop for must-have luxury or designer brands at the best value.

What’s your proudest achievement?

Becoming a dual American/British citizen.

What job would you have done if you hadn’t become a retailer?

Private equity in the luxury sector working with etail ventures.
