Less than 18 months in the job and no reason for her departure
Laura Ashley joint chief executive and director Rebecca Navarednam has resigned. She will leave the retailer on January 1 next year.

Navarednam joined the company last year as a non-executive director and was appointed chief executive on June 1 of that year. No reason has been given by the retailer for her departure.

A statement from the retailer said: 'The board would like to thank Rebecca for her services to the company, and wishes her well in the future.'
