The lingere retailer has dived into the world of social media recently with the launch of its Facebook ‘store’.
The store itself is excellent, providing a great user experience and directing customers back to the main site when they want to pay. Where the retailer has really excelled though is with its clever use of video.
La Senza has created an interactive ‘bikini lookbook’ video to drive sales, increase customer engagement and attract Facebook fans. The video, entitled ‘Nudist beach’, shows six women coming out of the sea onto the nudist beach wearing a selection of La Senza bikinis. As the bikinis are revealed the user can click on each one within the video to see it in detail before selecting a size and adding it to their shopping basket.
This is a great example of driving social commerce. The video has been set to private so Facebook users must ‘like’ the brand before watching. This means La Senza picks up extra fans and the brand is displayed in many users’ news feeds, creating a ripple effect.
