Group to provide retail analysis
KPMG and retail research group SPSL have formed a think tank to combat what they perceive as the mixed messages being delivered by the existing crop of retail data sources.

The KPMG/SPSL Retail Think Tank (RTT) aims to 'provide the authoritative, credible and most trusted window on what is really happening in retail'.

It will meet quarterly and release its findings after each meeting. The first formal meeting is due on July 11.

The RTT comprises Nick Bubb from Evolution Securities, Paul Clarke from Barclays retail and wholesale sectors, Sian Davies from Henley Centre HeadlightVision, Professor John Dawson from the Universities of Edinburgh and Stirling, Dr Tim Denison from SPSL, Helen Dickinson from KPMG, Richard Hyman from Verdict Consulting, Vicky Redwood from Capital Economics and Mark Teale from CB Richard Ellis.
