Comet owner Kesa has appointed Dominic Platt as it finance director.
Platt will join as an executive director to the board of the electricals retailer in January.
He leaves Cable and Wireless where he is group financial controller.
Platt replaces Kesa’s former finance director Simon Herrick, who has left to join British food manufacturer Northern Foods as finance director.
Kesa chief executive Thierry Falque-Pierrotin said: “I am delighted to welcome Dominic to the Group. In addition to his financial expertise, he brings a wealth of multi-cultural experience to the role and we are very much looking forward to working with him.”
