Purchase adds stores in Scotland and Northern Ireland
Specialist photographic retailer Jessops has strengthened its position in Scotland and Northern Ireland with the£815,000 purchase of MacKinnons of Dyce, which has 20 stores.

The acquisition takes the total number of stores owned by Jessops to 313 - breaking the 300 mark for the first time. Nineteen of the stores, which trade as Photo Factory, are in Scotland with one in Bangor, Northern Ireland. The move means Jessops now operates 35 stores in Scotland and eight in Northern Ireland.

The new stores will all be re-branded as Jessops over the next six weeks and there will be no redundancies among the 104 staff.
