Stores acquired from smaller rival
Specialist photographic retailer Jessops has acquired the business and assets of three camera stores from Midlands-based company That Camera Place.

Jessops paid£75,000 for the acquisition, plus the value of the stock on completion, which will be paid in cash.

The three stores - situated at Abingdon, Bicester and Evesham - will undergo a refit to Jessops' new spacemix format. The acquisitions will bring the total number of Jessops stores in the UK to 288.

Jessops reported strong end-of-year trading and has accelerated initiatives such as its spacemix format. It is also trialling a shared store concept with Carphone Warehouse and Game.
