Upmarket US fashion retailer J Crew is to open its fourth store in the UK on London’s exclusive Sloane Square.

J Crew has signed for the 4,500 sq ft two storey unit on the corner of Sloane Street and the King’s Road, which it will open for business in September. The 19th century building which houses the store is part of the family-owned Cadogan Estate.

As part of the launch it has teamed up with bee conservation charity Buglife. It will build a ‘living wall’ vertical garden feature on the outside of the store to provide bees with pesticide-free plants and flowers to feed on and help raise awareness of the work of Buglife in protecting them.

J Crew will roll out an extensive range of womenswear, menswear, shoes, bags and accessories in the store, which will include a Ludlow suiting shop.

The retailer currently has three UK stores, all in London, and operates a total of 267 globally. It made its debut last November with a 16,000 sq ft store on Regent Street in the West End. London agency Harper Dennis Hobbs acted for J Crew on the Sloane Square signing.

The retail joins fashion brands Club Monaco and Michael Kors which are both preparing to open stores in the area.
