When David McCabe started his first shift at Ikea Lakeside as a youngster in 1996, he didn’t have boardroom aspirations. It wasn’t until later on in his Ikea career, when McCabe took on more leadership roles within the business, that the seed was planted. He’s now taking on the chief executive assignment for the fourth country, in his home country, with the furniture giant.
