Target has announced the locations of its first 24 stores in Canada. The Ontario stores will open in March and early April 2013 in London, Kawartha Lakes, Newmarket, Milton, Cambridge, Toronto, Mississauga, Ajax, Orillia, Brampton, Windsor, Burlington, Aurora, Fergus, Hamilton, Guelph, Waterdown and Whitby. Target Canada president Tony Fisher said the retailer looked forward to offering an “exceptional shopping experience”. Target has acquired the leasehold interests of 189 sites currently operated by Zellers and plans to open 125 to 135 stores in Canada, most of which will open next year.
