Metro Group-owned Metro Cash & Carry in Italy has launched a new price-focused format in Chieti province, Abruzzi.

The store in Sambuceto, originally opened in 1998, has been refurbished to the new model trading under the Metro Piazza Affari banner.

The pilot store features prices on average 14% lower than in the retailer’s conventional cash and carry shops.
