Hypermarket chain Lenta has reportedly edged closer to a bid to buy out its rivals, US private equity firms TPG and bank VTB, which operate under the name Luna.

Lenta is looking to pay some RUB22.5bn (£490m) for their 30.8% stake in its operations.
