Finland-based retailer Kesko has entered the Russian grocery sector with its first hypermarket in St Petersburg under the K-Ruoka banner.

Kesko aims to open four hypermarkets in the city by the end of 2013 and then expand to the Moscow region.

Kesko also operates K-Rauta DIY and Intersport sports stores in Russia.
