Hypermarket operator Globus launched its first click-and-collect store, called Globus Drive, on December 1.
The first pilot is in Ensdorf, Saarland, close to the French border. Customers can select from a range of 6,000 products online for collection.
Globus has invested e3m (£2.6m) in the standalone warehouse, which will serve up to 300 customers a day. The retailer plans to open a second drive-in outlet in Rhineland-Palatinate next year.
