Grocer Sobeys’ parent company Empire has reported revenue rose 4% to C$3.81bn (£2.21bn) for its second quarter ending October 31.

Same-store sales were up 2.7%. Operating income at Sobeys totalled C$106.3m (£61.6m), an increase of 12.4% on the same period last year. Net income rose 22.1% to C$66.9m (£38.8m).
