Burlington Coat Factory has announced that net sales for its second quarter ending July 31 rose 4% to $728.8m (£456m). Like-for-like sales increased 0.3% for the quarter. Chief executive Tom Kingsbury said: “We are pleased to report our second consecutive quarter with a positive like-for-like sales performance, which contributed to a total sales increase of 6% for the spring season. We continue to stay focused on driving sales through our top three priorities: merchandise content, the store experience and receipt management.”
