International News - Kohl's hopes for comeback with brand additions

Kohl's is pinning its hopes of a sales revival on a repositioned own-brand offer and some big-name tie-ups.

More fashionable rivals are enjoying a sales boom, but Kohl's, with its focus on basics, has experienced a same-store sales slide for two years. It fell back 4.6 per cent last month.

The retailer will launch young men's fashion brand Urban Pipeline this autumn, as well as revamped labels Croft & Barrow and Sonoma. It is also stocking Laura Ashley product.

Kohl's has struck an exclusive deal with Estee Lauder.

The Beauty Bank cosmetics range will hit 250 stores in September and October.
