US convenience store group 7-Eleven has launched a line of presidential election campaign coffee cups enabling customers at self-serve drinks machines to vote for Bush or Kerry.
The retailer, well-known for innovative product development, sells about 1 million cups of coffee a day. Chief executive James Keyes would not reveal who was winning the poll, but said: 'It's just another way to be out there and be part of the lives of our customers at 7-Eleven.'
The retailer has also launched a range of pre-charged, pre-connected mobile phones which can be used fresh from the box.
The 7-Eleven chain has 5,792 stores in 30 states and aims to have 500 stores in China by 2008.
