Belgian food retailer Delhaize posted sales down to EUR18.8 billion (£12.92 billion) for last year, down from EUR20.7 billion (£14.22 billion) the previous year, because of the impact of the weak dollar. The retailer plans to close or sell 34 Kash n' Karry stores in the US.
