Heads of retail and shopping centre and retail support organisations will gather from across the globe to discuss growth strategies for India, the second fastest growing economy in the world.
Yo Sushi! chairman and founder Simon Woodroffe will perform live at the event and Robert Spector, author of the The Nordstrom Way and speaker on customer service, will also address the conference.
A report by investment banker Goldman Sachs credits India with the potential to deliver the fastest growth over the next 50 years, with an average rate of more than 5 per cent a year for the entire period. At present, foreign retailers can only enter the market on a single brand entry basis. FDI (foreign direct investment) is expected to hit US$10 billion (£5.3 billion) by the end of 2008.
