Incoming DSGi chairman John Allan has been appointed a non-executive director of the electricals retailer.
In January DSGi announced that Allan, formerly chief executive of Deutsche Post World Net, will take over as chairman when Sir John Collins retires in September, following the retailer’s annual general meeting.
The City is braced for a poor set of results from the electricals retailer on Thursday, when it will announce its full year results.
At the time of its £311m rights issue in April, chief executive John Browett said that pre-tax profits over the year to May 2 will “not be less than £42m”.
