Intersport Sporting Pro to launch in September
Matalan’s new sporting brand Intersport Sporting Pro will launch with 15 stores across the UK in September, creating 400 jobs. The product will have a strong focus on women, as well as fitness and running.
The chain, headed by former JJB executive Tom Knight, will also simultaneously launch an online platform sportingpro.co.uk.
Spar UK to revamp own brand water and juice ranges
Spar UK is giving a make over to its own brand soft drinks ranges with a redesign and new flavours. Spar’s flavoured still water range will get three new flavours: strawberry & kiwi, lemon & lime, and apple, raspberry & blueberry. Spar is also adding a new variant to its ambient juice range, and revamping packaging across the whole line.
The new lines will roll out to Spar stores in September/October 2013, according to the Retail Times.
