Dunnes holds top rank in Ireland

Dunnes stores reported a 22.9% share of Ireland’s grocery market, holding first position for two consecutive months in the grocery league, according to Kantar Worldpanel, The Irish Independent reported.

SuperValu reported a 22.6% share, while Tesco’s sales decreased 1% owing to staff strikes.

Aldi and Lidl reported 5.3% and 4.1% increases in sales respectively.

Lush mulls shifting plants abroad amid Brexit

Lush is mulling expanding its manufacturing and buying operations outside of the UK following the fallout of the Brexit vote, the BBC reported.

Around 20% of the company's workers are not UK citizens and they "felt unwelcome and understandably upset" due to the vote.

The cosmetics firm has opened a new plant in Germany.

More than 80 staff members who wanted to leave the UK took up the offer to move to the new factory.

Rapha seeks advisers for sale of business

Rapha’s shareholders are interviewing banks to cash in their investment with a view to auctioning the business, Sky News reported.

Active Private Equity, the main stakeholder in the sportswear retailer, declined to comment.

Aspinal of London appoints new chief executive

Aspinal of London has appointed Lisa Montague as its new chief executive, The Telegraph reported.

Montague, currently working with handbag company Loewe, will replace Sarah Rotheram in September.

Aspinal’s founder Iain Burton sold a 20% stake to Four Seasons, allowing the handbag retailer to open more shops in the Middle East and fund a roll-out of more shops in the UK.
