Boohoo set to reveal boost in profits

Boohoo is set to report a surge in annual pre-tax profits to £29.6m, The Telegraph reported.

Online retailer’s sales are set to be approximately £100m higher compared with 2016, rising to £290.4m owing to new international markets and bridal range dresses costing less than £80.

Boden launches concessions in John Lewis stores

Boden is set to open womenswear concessions in John Lewis stores, This Is Money reported.

The brand will open five concessions at John Lewis branches in Oxford Street, Cambridge, Reading, Southampton and Oxford.

Woolworths may come back to High Street

Woolworths could return to the high street, Daily Star Online reports.

The retailer’s former managing director Tony Page has approached Shop Direct to buy the name back.

He would bring Woolies back with stores as part of the community rather than major shopping centres.

Sir Philip Green may still lose his knighthood

Sir Philip Green could face new questions from MPs and has been warned of losing his knighthood, a year after collapse of BHS, The Guardian reported.

Veteran Labour MP Frank Field said: “Sir Philip Green remains on the hook”.

“When parliament comes back from the election we need to pursue the charge sheet from the Pensions Regulator against him and what the Pensions Regulator got in return.”

“Once we have done that, we will realise how inadequate his settlement was. He has not done enough to hold on to his knighthood.

Green declined to comment.
