ScS has promoted its sales director and long-time employee to managing director and its HR chief to corporate services director.
The furniture and flooring retailer has promoted group sales director Kevin Royal to group managing director. He takes over responsibility for its 97 stores, all in the UK, and 28 House of Fraser concessions.
Royal joined ScS as a trainee store manager in 1981 and is credited with playing “an instrumental role in leading the retail division to success” on a national scale.
Group HR director Marie Liston has been promoted to corporate services director with responsibility for customer service, internal audit, property and regulatory compliance.
In January, ScS appointed a new chief financial offier. Chris Muir joined from vehicle rental company Northgate and replaced former finance boss Ron Turnbull, who left after a decade at the group. Muir looks after company secretarial, business reporting and IT in addition to his finance duties.
