Screwfix has appointed Heidi Woodhouse as its new commercial director.

Woodhouse joins the home improvement retailer from Marks & Spencer, where she was director for Home, Furniture and Beauty, and has also held senior roles at Currys and Dixons.
Woodhouse replaces Matt Compton, who is leaving Screwfix after 11 years. The retailer said in a statement that Compton had played “a pivotal role” in shaping its commercial strategy and leading its sustainability programme.
Screwfix managing director UK and ROI Max Britten said: “I’m delighted to welcome Heidi to Screwfix. She joins us at an exciting time, as we continue to pursue ambitious growth plans focused on our trade customers. She will play a pivotal role in expanding our product ranges to deliver even greater value and choice for our customers.”
Woodhouse said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Screwfix, a company I’ve always admired, at such an important stage in its journey. I’m looking forward to working with the team to build on its strong foundations and drive continued success.”
