Williams Sonoma will launch its Pottery Barn brand in the UK with John Lewis later this year.

The California-headquartered furniture and homewares retailer will tie up with John Lewis on its Pottery Barn Kids Range. Williams Sonoma already has a relationship with the upmarket department store chain thanks to its West Elm fascia, which John Lewis sells.

It is not yet known whether Pottery Barn Kids would be sold online, in-store or via both channels.

The brand’s launch has been anticipated for some years. In 2013, Retail Week reported that the brand was preparing to make its debut and searching for suitable properties. Sister brand West Elm has three stores in and around London.

John Lewis has just opened its 50th store, anchoring the extension of Westfield London. The centre is now the biggest in Europe.
