Pets Pyjamas chief executive Gracia Amico has exited the pets specialist after three years at the helm, Retail Week can reveal.

Amico joined the business in 2014, having previously worked as online director at Hobbs, Topman and Burberry.

A spokeswoman confirmed the ecommerce veteran has left the company to pursue other projects.

Pets Pyjamas started life in 2012 as a pet accessories pureplay but has diversified in recent years to also offer bespoke services and pet-friendly travel.

The spokeswoman said the company has appointed Lesley Marshall in the newly created role of general manager for travel.

She said: “With over 30 years experience in tourism and travel, Lesley is a key hire in Pets Pyjamas’ strategy shift to maintain and grow their position as the number one provider of truly dog-friendly holidays in UK and Europe.”

Pets Pyjamas said its travel division has gone “from strength to strength” and become “a key focus of the business overall”.
