Bunnings general manager of merchandise Craig Castelino is leaving the UK business, just a month after it emerged boss PJ Davis was returning to Australia on sabbatical.

The merchandise chief will move on to special projects, before taking on a senior leadership role in Bunnings Australia and New Zealand.

As reported by Insight DIY, Castelino will depart the UK business in April.

Details of the change were revealed yesterday during the Bunnings Expo at the NEC in Birmingham.

It comes weeks after it emerged that Bunnings UK boss PJ Davis would return to Australia on a three-month break.

Former B&Q retail director Damian McGloughlin, who joined Bunnings in December, will take the helm of the UK business on an interim basis.

Bunnings owner Wesfarmers is due to unveil half-year results on February 21.
