B&Q is allowing customers to collect their online orders at selected Tesco stores as the DIY giant looks to expand its delivery network, Retail Week can reveal.

The retailer is running a trial of collection points at six of the grocery giant’s stores around the country.

The first phase of B&Q Collect sees three mobile collection vans located in the carparks at Tesco’s Berwick-Upon-Tweed, Newmarket and Sunbury-on-Thames superstores.

The second phase of the trial will launch later this year, with purpose-built collection pods introduced to another three supermarkets, including its Dumfries and Newmarket locations.

Customers can use the B&Q Collect service by selecting the option when they checkout online.

The trial forms part of the retailer’s commitment to bringing more convenience to shoppers by expanding access to its products and helping to make it easier for everyone to improve their homes.

B&Q ecommerce sales surged 21.5% to £713m in the year to January 31, 2026, driven by the rollout of faster collection times and the continued expansion of its marketplace.

Revenues for the DIY giant rose 3.3% on a like-for-like basis to £3.9bn in the year, which it attributed to customer transference from the closure of Homebase stores and strong seasonal performance in its first quarter.

At the end of last month, B&Q opened its first-ever standalone Tradepoint store in Barking. The 32,000 sq ft flagship has been created exclusively for trade professionals and comes as the retailer chases a bigger slice of the £30bn market.
